George Kirby is an accomplished CEO and board leader with deep experience across the energy, infrastructure, and industrial technology sectors. At CEC Energy Services, he leads the company’s growth and transformation, bringing a focus on disciplined execution, operational excellence, and customer alignment across critical electrical infrastructure markets.

George’s career spans more than two decades of building and leading companies that design, construct, and modernize essential energy systems. He has led manufacturing scale-ups, corporate turnarounds, and successful equity transactions while developing high-performing teams and resilient business models. His leadership is grounded in technical understanding and commercial discipline, shaped by years leading engineering, construction, and energy technology organizations.

Before joining CEC, George served as CEO of RS Technologies, where he led the recapitalization and growth of a leading composite infrastructure manufacturer. He also served as CEO and board director of Ocean Power Technologies, Managing Director at AMSC, and Senior Vice President at AECOM, where he led large-scale utility and infrastructure projects. Earlier in his career, he held engineering and commercial leadership roles at GE Energy and GE Energy Financial Services.

He holds an MBA from Penn State and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and is a licensed Professional Engineer and Six Sigma Black Belt.
